Bench Hooks & Shooting Boards
October 19th & 20th, 9-5pm
"Workshop Appliance Week" Part 01
In this two day class you'll learn the importance of workshop "appliances" as you build a dedicated Shooting Board. As you'll see, and you already know if you've ever taken a class here at the woodshop, the shooting board is a critical work bench jig used for squaring/planing the ends of boards.
You'll build a ramped shooting board with an adjustable fence and plane stop; basically a super-deluxe version of a shooting board!
This is a two day intensive so we recommend you already have some experience with hand tools. If you've taken our Hand tool or Joinery/Dovetail Bootcamps, then this would be a great class for you.
If you have the entire week available, check out Bents & Sticks, the second part of this course happening on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of October.
**All students at UW must be 18 years and older to attend.
**Classes are non-refundable 48 hours prior to class.
