Green woodworking is a fun and relaxing way to work wood. We will focus on safety and skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Wednesday evenings from six to nine pm at The Unplugged Woodshop.
Great for beginners or experienced woodworkers alike.
Learn how to carve wooden spoons, bowls and cups using traditional tools and techniques. You can feel good knowing our wood is locally-sourced and sustainably harvested here in the GTA.

WEEK ONE: AN INTRODUCTION TO GREEN WOODWORKING
In this class, you will get acquainted with green woodworking tools and learn how to sharpen and maintain them. You will also make a birch bark sheath for your carving knife.
WEEK TWO: SPOON MAKING
In this class, you will carve a wooden spoon. From knife grips to design, you will leave with something you can be proud of.
WEEK THREE: BOWL MAKING
In this class, you will carve a wooden bowl. This will introduce some new tools and techniques to add to your green woodworking repertoire!
WEEK FOUR: CARVE A KUKSA
A Kuksa is a wooden drinking cup traditionally found in Scandinavia. In this class, you will learn how to make your own!
